AWESOME!! I am rating it three stars for now, and will update once I get it put together. The product description says that the color is silver. It is primer gray. I can live with it, but it doesnt look how I thought it was going to. Thats why it gets three stars at this time. More info to come later.
Here is my update, and I have raised it to four stars. As I said, the color was a disappointment. I had a certain look for the room in mind when I purchased this, and the color does not contribute to that look. However, the bed frame, in terms of quality, is about what I expected for the price. I needed a basic bunk bed and that is what I got. At this point, it is not REAL sturdy. It shakes some when my nine year old daughter gets on or moves on the top bunk. It shakes more if I get on the top bunk. I am not a heavy person. I plan to go back around and tighten the bolts again to see if this helps ease that. One thing I do love about this bed, is the height of the top bunk. It seems shorter than most bunk beds. I have no trouble reaching and making the bed; and my daughter has plenty of room (with probably a foot to spare) to sit up in the bed. We have 8 foot ceilings. The height is one of the more attractive features for me. However, the bottom bunk could use about 6 more inches of headroom. I am five/foot/three and Ive conked my head a couple times before I got used to it. The ladder is a little hard on the feet. Ill probably purchase some cushioning for the rungs, if I can find some. My daughter has taken to stepping down onto the bottom bunk mattress, rather than using the ladder, for this very reason.
As far as putting it together, there are a LOT of parts, but overall, it was pretty easy. Three of us put the slats in and put their clips on so it went relatively quickly. At times, it will be more helpful to have another person helping so they can hold up parts and such, during assembly. Sometimes, it was a little difficult to get the bolt holes to align so that the bolts would go in correctly. This could affect the overall sturdiness of the bed, and probably did.
For the money, I recommend this product. If you want a fancy bed, pay the bigger bucks.
Primer Gray, Not Silver
