This is truly easy to assemble. I am a woman in my sixties and I do not put things together generally. My husband does that. This time I wanted to try. I put aside Saturday and Sunday, even though many reviewers said it just took a few hours. I unpacked everything and another reviewer was right. It took more time to unpack and inventory than anything else! I followed the picture directions carefully and had no problems at all. They supply you with a few extra screws and nuts and bolts and things which is very nice. I did not need them but kept them just in case. I assembled this in about an hour and a half. The only thing I asked my husband to do was to test the torque and tightness of the screws before putting in the slats (the very last step). I had not wanted to over tighten anything as I was putting it together. He checked and tightened some of them. I then asked him to help me put the slats in as it was just easier to do with a person on each side. So he spent about 5 minutes helping. Truly easy and very cute. Looks great / we have it in a guest room.
