This loft bed is great for young folks to maximize room.
This loft bed is just what our Grandson needed. It provides a neat place / desk under the bed for his computer which is used for school work and gaming. We added LED lights to the underside ,over the desk area, to light the study area. He is very happy with this loft bed. There is headroom for our 13 year old Grandson to sit up in the bed. His room has standard height ceilings. The bed is sturdier than most loft beds. Assembly was easy with two people and a handheld electric drill driver. It would be more of a challenge trying to do it yourself because you need to lift, align, and hold parts while screwing them together. Nothing too difficult but it is better to have another set of hands available. Love it.
Nice and sturdy
Was a little difficult to assemble. Directions were a bit hard to follow. Some of the screws were very hard to tighten. One screw got stripped and is still not screwed in all the way. Despite that, it looks good and is very sturdy. Came with all pieces and was in good shape. Save some money and buy this.

Mattress was too thick! and difficult to change sheets
Lifting the bed frame up was the only difficult part of the assembly. I actually started with assembling the ladder before starting with the right and left frame. I had two problems because of my height (5 ft) and ceiling height was 8 ft. So I had to get creative replaced the 6 mattress and bedding on top with a two inch high density foam mattress and a 4 x 6 high pile rug which my daughter loves sleeping on and is easy for me to remove and machine wash. The five stars is for the excellent overall assembly. Practically managed to do all by myself (although I would not recommend it unless you have no choice). This is sturdy enough for upto 70lb but more than I am not comfortable. Good deal and was easy to put together.
College dorm feel
Perfect for my college daughter who is home from the dorms. Gives her more space to herself underneath! I love it space saver I am back to buy another one.

Things to know
My dad and 2 kids assembled it and didnt have any issues. The desk arrived with a ding in the front which I had read in the reviews was common. It does scratch easy during assembly so be careful of that. The ladder slips some if you dont get the pads on just right. Otherwise its great. She loves it. Careful about putting a lot deep mattress on it. They are the same height as the railings. We had to find a smaller mattress so we didnt risk her falling out. Excellent product!
